I am pleased to provide you with an update on recent happenings around your club and a preview of events to look forward to at The DAC. In addition to our traditional holiday events, there is much to look forward to — which makes me grateful to be part of this incredible club!
This summer was full of many great celebrations out on the Sundeck. “A Night in Nantucket” was fun for the whole family and featured a great variety of seafood favorites, including incredible whole lobsters! The Annual Cornhole Tournament was a fun social event put on by The DAC Young Professionals, at which all Members are always welcome. We also had our Cigar Club meeting monthly on the Sundeck, socializing over a shared love of cigars and cigar-friendly experiences – be sure to check out the Member spotlight on page 20 of this publication, in which Cigar Club founder Wolfgang Zahner shares his experience fishing in Campeche with a great cigar. And of course, we held a reception for John and Anne Lesko, who retired after 30 years of service to The DAC. To further honor them and celebrate their contributions in elevating squash at the Club, we will commemorate a court as the “Lesko Doubles Exhibition Squash Court.”
With cooler temps starting to roll in, holiday events are right around the corner! The Parade of Lights will soon march its way in front of the Club, with Christmas following not long after. With that in mind, now is the perfect time to plan your holiday party at The DAC. Whether you are looking to hold a formal dinner with visiting family, or a fun office party in the Bowling Alley – we can help! Contact Kelly Miller in the Catering Department at 720-931-6771 to plan and book your event today.
Also, this will be the first holiday season since we’ve opened the Pro Shop. Keep us in mind as you’re shopping for early Christmas gifts! The Pro Shop is located on the second floor near the Racquetball Courts observation area, and is open Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm.
I have received a few questions regarding the construction work in the Parking Garage. Work has been on-schedule and we are still anticipating work being completed by the end of December. Thank you all for your patience as we continue this important project.
I would like to thank all the staff for their incredible work around the Club. Whether they are helping you get ready to hit the slopes this season, providing great service, executing Club events, maintaining / cleaning / repairing quietly in the background, and so much more, they help make The DAC Experience what it is.
I also wish to thank the Board of Directors. I am excited to work alongside this year’s Board and know that together we will strive to achieve great things for The DAC. Your Club is in good hands!
I look forward to seeing you all around the Club.
