I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates on the variety of athletic endeavors within our community. The participation we've witnessed have been extraordinary, and I extend my gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making our athletic programs and offerings a resounding success.
The beginning of the year has seen a great surge in participation across our diverse range of sports leagues and activities. League play, as it always is, was a big hit. We hosted a Winter Basketball League for Members and guests, three Bowling Leagues (they were just too popular to contain to one league), and a Pickleball League for this fast-growing sport. In racquets, we also organized Squash Singles and Doubles Leagues to keep our incredibly active squash players engaged. We typically offer league play for any given sport at least twice a year, and leagues are a great opportunity to meet other Members and build relationships and practice teamwork over several weeks. Check out one of our leagues the next time they are offered!

We recently launched Women's Squash Nights which have been a standout success, providing a welcoming and low-pressure setting for female Members to explore the world of squash. No experience is necessary – if you are even slightly curious about what squash has to offer and how it might align with your lifestyle and goals, I hope you will check out these Squash Nights for women. Bring a friend!
The Hashim Khan Tournament is just around the corner on March 7-10, and I’m looking forward to what is the pinnacle of squash at The DAC. Hashim Khan was a legend in the squash world and was a significant part of our squash program at The DAC, and this annual tournament is an incredible opportunity to celebrate his legacy while we appreciate current top-level play.
As we move forward in 2024, I'm excited about the continued enthusiasm of our athletic community. I encourage all of you to explore new leagues, try a new Group Ex class, reach out to our team if we can help you meet our goals, and use your Club for all that it has to offer!
